Working From Home

Modern office

With working and schooling from home the new norm, our homes have had to become flexible as they transform into offices, boardrooms and virtual classrooms.

Those, lucky enough to have a designated home office or study may have to arm wrestle their partners or children to maintain their territory, whilst the dining table or kitchen benchtop are consolation prizes.

These home offices were all designed well before we knew how important they would become.  We have obviously taken our clients’ needs into account in designing these spaces but they share some essentials in achieving a good workspace.

It’s important that the whole environment feels comfortable – the chair – its relationship to the desk, lighting and useful storage. And of course, now that we spend time in virtual meetings – it’s good to be seen in a well-designed space – even if it’s the kitchen!

Wherever you find yourself working at the moment – even if it’s a laptop on the sofa (or bed) – may it be productive.
