The original part of this 1920’s French Style Chateau is intact and has acquired a delightful patina over the last century. Our clients are collectors of contemporary art together with the collection of furniture from the home we had previously collaborated on. Their brief was to integrate these whilst responding to the new scale and architecture.
We considered the strong interior detailing as well as the scale of rooms, which we approached from the point of view of their intended usage. The site gave us the opportunity to work with wonderful clients and generously scaled art and furniture.
Our materials strategy was in response to the dramatic proportions of the home – and we added to the drama – by creating warm and inviting rooms and vistas.
