This new home is built on a cliff with beautiful sight lines from ocean to beach. The clients’ brief was founded on creating a sense of calm and reflecting the home’s relationship with the sea. We interpreted the brief by creating a light, relaxed interior, textured and uncluttered in hues of washed grey, taupe and white, with elements of charcoal reflecting the colour of rocks and seaweed, found on the beach.
The beautiful organic curves and spaces of the architectural envelope gave a clear direction for our concept with multilevel spaces within the constrained narrow footprint created the opportunity for subtle differentiations of colour and texture whilst seamlessly integrating the whole.
